Spies: A Narrative Encyclopedia of Dirty Tricks and Double Dealing from Biblical Times to Today

(1997) Spies: A Narrative Encyclopedia of Dirty Tricks and Double Dealing from Biblical Times to Today by Jay Robert Nash is like a Wiki for spies. The author has put together years of research about many facets of espionage.

I was initially interested in the information on Eric Erickson but then was drawn to the summaries of Kim Philby and William Stephenson, both spies working in London Intelligence at the same time as my mother, 1944.

Of course, Kim Philby was really a Soviet spy, not outed until the 1960’s.
