Another Swedish gentleman who knew my parents in 1944-45 is Olle Åkerlund. At that time his address was Karlavägen 85, Stockholm.
I can only assume that he is the same as the “Olle Erik Cyrus Åkerlund,” the Swedish sailor found on Wikipedia. In 1944-45, he would have been 34 years old. In 1932, when he was just 21, he competed in the 1932 Summer Olympics. His crew won the gold medal.
As always, I am searching for clues.
