The Holcroft Covenant, movie starring Michael Caine
(1985) This is a WWII-related movie. Just before a high-ranking Nazi shoots himself at the end of the war he amasses a fortune (i.e., steals it from Hitler) and squirrels it away in a bank in Geneva. His supposed intention is that his son (clueless architect Michael Caine) will use the fortune to make amends for his misdeeds.
The story is one spy caper blended into another. I was never sure who was on whose side.
I do like Michael Caine, but he looked like he was a bit lost in this one.
All right … the movie entertained me.
