Back to Bataan, WWII Movies starring John Wayne
(1945) The raid to rescue survivors of the Bataan Death March who were being held at the horrific Japanese prison camp on Cabanatuan occurred on January 30, 1945. This movie was already in production but they were still able to include scenes of the amazing rescue. Several of the actual POW’s were shown in the film.
The first time I watched this movie was around the same time I listened to the book “Ghost Soldiers.” It was just as good this time around.
