11 Aug In Enemy Hands
(2004) The action takes place somewhere in the North Atlantic during the early days of World War II. After the crew of a US Navy submarine is captured by the crew of a German U-boat, men from both sides begin to die from a mysterious disease, what the medic thinks is meningitis. In order to stay alive, the Germans and their American prisoners must cooperate.
Easier said than done!
I read that when the film was shown in other countries, it was given a title translated to Underwater Prison. That’s a good description of these World War II submarines.
William H. Macy is the Chief of Boat. A cast with Macy is usually a good reason to watch any movie. The two German actors, Tilman Schweiger and Thomas Kretschmann were excellent.
