(1965) Not my favorite POW movie. Maybe because of the rats.
Out of respect for James Clavell, author of the book it was based on, who was actually a POW in the Changi prison camp near Singapore, I watched more than half of it.
I loved this movie, it had realism that is missing in many of the war films.
Also it had Richard Dawson in his one great dramatic role and showed he was capable of more than Newkirk or kissing every female that crossed his path in Family Feud.
and to be honest I preferred the Telefutura version – Que Dice la Gente.
