The Poet

Hearts of War, WWII Movie

The Poet, WWII Movie … Released in the U.S. as “Hearts of War”

(2007) This Canadian film is about the relationship between a Rabbi’s daughter and a German soldier who fall in love just as Poland falls to the Nazis. It was called “Hearts of War” when it was released in the U.S.

The best part of the whole movie was the last five minutes. The rest of it was just too far fetched, beginning with the German accents. Daryl Hannah’s was the worst.

I do appreciate the fact that the writers tried to bring out how horribly the Polish Jews suffered from the Nazis. That story should be told over and over again.
