(1950) A sequel to the 1942 academy award-winning Mrs. Miniver, also starring, Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon, this film is the story of how the Miniver family survived World War II.
I am sure that audiences were interested in seeing the details of “the greatest family in screen history” (per the trailer) all pulled together.
After this movie was over there was no reason to ask for another one.
One thing I was curious about … where was their elder son Vin from the original movie? That actor married Greer Garson, who played his mother, in 1943.
By 1950, they were long divorced, so it seems that he was written out of the script.
