China Girl, WWII Movie starring Gene Tierney
(1942) George Montgomery plays a cameraman who wants to photograph the Burma Road for whichever person will pay him the most money.
All being said, this is a movie about a guy chasing a girl. It just happened to occur during World War II.
Handsome George Montgomery married Dinah Shore a year after this movie came out, and he also joined the U.S. Army Air Force.
The beautiful Gene Tierney was supposed to be half Chinese in this movie, but I wasn’t convinced.
At the time, she was married to designer Oleg Cassini. I read that later she had a short romance with John F. Kennedy.
Little Robert Blake (9 years old) played the part of a young Indian boy who hangs around Robert Montgomery.
As you can see, I was more interested in reading about the actors than I was in the movie.
