Robert L. Robb
On August 10, 1944 an administrative team arrived from the Eighth Air Force to handle the administration of the interned personnel in Sweden. This team of six included Captain Robert L. Robb.
Captain Robb was appointed Assistant Military Attache at the American Legation in Stockholm. He quickly became one of Herman’s best friends.
I have researched the U.S. NARA records and have found a file for a Robert L. Robb who was with the Air Corps and enlisted in 1941. His residence on enlistment was Santa Clara County, California. I have also found an address for Mrs. Robb, presumably his Mom, as a hotel in Hollywood, California.
